Ethereum Foundation members are calling for increased algorithmic transparency in X, and Vitalik Buterin has suggested introducing ZK verification.

Davide Crapis, head of AI at the Ethereum Foundation, tweeted that if X wants to claim to be a platform for free speech, it should disclose the optimization goals of its algorithm and ensure that the relevant mechanisms are clear, understandable, and adjustable for users. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin further proposed that every decision made by the algorithm should be supported by zero-knowledge proofs (ideally, recording the timestamps of content and actions such as likes and shares on the blockchain to prevent server censorship or time manipulation), and promised to release the complete algorithm code after a 1-2 year delay.
