As stablecoins are spreading in the institutional financial sector, Avalanche is expanding its presence in the global market by providing various use cases.
Justin Kim, Avalanche's Asia Head, gave a lecture on the "Overseas Stablecoin Business Model and Use Cases" at the global Web3 roadshow 'IXO™ Season 3' held at the Seoul Textile Center on the 25th. He stated that "Stablecoins are the digital twins of physical currency and are already spreading in the institutional financial sector" and shared various Avalanche-based use cases.
Kim said, "Stablecoins are already quickly entering the institutional financial sector overseas" and "Especially in the Asian market, adoption is proceeding most actively after North America".
He explained, "Stablecoins are ultimately creating digital twins of physical currency" and "Just as existing currency exists on paper, it is being converted to blockchain-based digital assets". He added, "Major issuers like Circle and Tether are earning stable returns of around 4% annually through national bond-based deposits, and their business structure is very simple yet powerful".
He continued, "In Wyoming, USA, the state government is directly issuing stablecoins with 102% collateral and even introducing a model that returns profits to educational resources" and "Such public sector-led business models are increasingly emerging".
Avalanche's Asia Head said, "At Avalanche, SMBC Bank in Japan and the Singapore government-led Grab Pay and Alipay stablecoin payment networks are actually being commercialized". He emphasized, "In the Singapore case, payments can be made directly with stablecoins through the Avalanche-exclusive payment network without going through existing banks".
From the government's perspective, existing blockchains had concerns about financial sanctions due to their decentralized structure with unclear validators, but Avalanche can design a dedicated network where only government-approved validators participate.
He stated, "Currently, there is a recognition globally that one network cannot cover all industries" and "Customized blockchain infrastructure is needed for each company and government, and Avalanche is one of the only mainnets that can provide this".
He introduced, "Nexon has built a dedicated network based on MapleStory IP, FIFA is issuing World Cup tickets as Avalanche-based Non-Fungible Tokens, and it is spreading to Suntory in Japan, DMV vehicle registration in the US, and real estate registration in New Jersey".
Justin Kim emphasized, "If an appropriately controlled environment is established, stablecoins can be commercialized soundly domestically" and "I hope good cases emerge quickly through cooperation between the government and businesses".

'IXO™ Season 3' is a Web3 conference focused on 'investment practice', held over two days on the 24th and 25th at the Seoul Textile Center. It is co-hosted by blockchain media TokenPost and CoinLeaders, and co-organized by the decentralized data trust protocol 'OpenLedger'.
IXO™ presents a fundraising concept that is more Web3-friendly and community-centric, going beyond existing ICO, IEO, and IDO methods. The first event in April last year drew over 1,000 participants, opening a new chapter in the Web3 community, and expanded this flow further in Season 2 in July with the theme 'Embrace the Future'.
The theme of this Season 3 is 'Proof of Business'. It is designed as a practical Web3 conference that highlights only projects that have actually proven their actual usability, profitability, and user base, beyond technological vision and marketing.
Domestic and international blockchain experts, DAO operators, practical investors, researchers, and traders will participate, providing effective insights from an investor's perspective. The event is structured as a B2C roadshow with project booths, custody demos, and networking, expected to provide an opportunity for the community and individual investors to meet verified Web3 projects.
