SOL Strategies aims to become the first public enterprise to tokenize stocks through collaboration with Superstate.
SOL Strategies Inc. (CSE: HODL, OTCQB: CYFRF) has just announced plans to explore the possibility of encoding its stocks on the Solana blockchain through a non-binding memorandum with financial technology company Superstate. This agreement, signed on 25/4/2025, marks the first step towards potentially becoming the first public company to tokenize stocks.
According to the agreement, both parties will evaluate Superstate's "Opening Bell" platform – a system designed to support the issuance and trading of SEC-registered public stocks on the blockchain. Superstate is expected to play the role of a secondary transfer agent, providing technological infrastructure to encode SOL Strategies' common stocks.
Towards Capital Market Modernization with Blockchain
"We believe that tokenizing public stocks is a natural progression of the capital market, and high-performance networks like Solana are the ideal platform that future," Leah.ah She emphasized the the potential to expand global investor access through blockchain technology, enabling real-time payments and interaction with decentralized financial protocols.
However, the Toronto-based company affirms that no stocks have been tokenized yet and there are no immediate plans to convert convert current stocks or issue derivative tokens. The project is still in the initial exploration stage and depends on future legal developments.
SOL Strategies also confirmed that have been no official moves with the securities regulator or the Canadian Stock Exchange (CSE). The company emphasized that this is a legally compliant initiative that does not affect current its current stock listing>
