According to a recent Bloomberg report , Trump Media, the media and technology company owned by US President Donald Trump, is planning to launch a prediction market, Truth Predict, through the cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com.
Partnering with Crypto.com to launch a prediction market
The report indicates that Trump Media & Technology Group plans to launch prediction contracts on its Truth Social platform, allowing users to place bets on a variety of events, from political elections to changes in inflation rates.
It's worth noting that Trump Media reports that Truth Social will launch this prediction market through an exclusive partnership with cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com. Beta testing will begin on Truth Social, followed by a US launch after regulatory approval, and then global expansion. Users can exchange "Truth gems" on the platform for $CRO to purchase contracts.
CRO prices jumped immediately.
Encouraged by this news, Crypto.com's token CRO surged, reaching a high of $0.167, with a nearly 24-hour increase of 8%.
