Bitcoin Whale Holding 80,000 BTC Transfers 40,010 BTC to Galaxy Digital, Galaxy Then Deposits Over 4,600 BTC to Exchange
On July 15th, according to tracking data from Yuji and Lookonchain, a "Bitcoin whale" who has been silent for 14 years and currently holds a total of 80,000 BTC, unexpectedly transferred 40,010 BTC to Galaxy Digital yesterday. The Medium value of this transaction was around $117,391/BTC, equivalent to a total value of approximately $4.69 billion.
Notably, after receiving these BTC, Galaxy Digital quickly transferred 6,000 BTC (worth approximately $716 million) to two major centralized exchanges, Binance and Bybit. This move is being closely monitored by the cryptocurrency community as it may be related to a large-scale selling plan or asset restructuring.
The aforementioned whale wallet still retains around 40,000 BTC, equivalent to approximately $4.67 billion, and no additional fund transfer activities have been recorded.
