Elon Musk directly criticized the US legal tender (fiat) and announced that he will accept Bitcoin as the official agenda of the 'America Party' he is promoting.
On the 7th (Korean time), when a user on his social media platform X (formerly Twitter) asked, "Will the America Party accept Bitcoin?", Musk replied, "Fiat is hopeless. So yes." He added, "The America Party is the solution," revealing his intention to establish himself as an alternative to the US two-party system and a Bitcoin-friendly political force.
Musk has been criticizing the large-scale fiscal expenditure bill promoted by former President Trump as a "waste that calls for the bankruptcy of the United States" and is preparing to establish an independent third party. Although it is not yet clear whether it is registered with the US Federal Election Commission (FEC), some media outlets have already reported that the application for establishment has been submitted.
After this statement, the Bitcoin price rose by around 1%, reflecting investors' expectations. The market predicts that Musk's move will broaden the discussion of digital asset policies by elevating Bitcoin from a mere investment asset to a political agenda.
An industry official said, "Attempts to bring Bitcoin to the forefront of US politics are becoming full-scale," adding that "FEC registration and policy specifics will be key variables going forward."
