Ram, the co-founder of OpenLedger, delivered a keynote speech on the topic "OpenLedger, a Blockchain Platform for Specialized AI Construction" at the global Web3 roadshow 'IXO™ Season 3' held at the Seoul Textile Center on the 24th, introducing the background of OpenLedger's establishment, its technical characteristics, and the current ecosystem expansion strategy step by step.

He said, "OpenLedger is a blockchain platform for AI, designed to allow anyone to contribute data and build and operate AI models." He emphasized that "the structure where AI model learning, data provision, and rewards are transparently tracked on-chain is its key differentiator."

He also explained the background of OpenLedger's start. He said, "I felt that community users needed more value than corporate customers, which led to the launch of OpenLedger," and "I have been researching and developing blockchain and machine learning for 10 years, starting with a two-person team and now growing to a global team of 200 people."

He revealed that OpenLedger has experience building blockchain-based automation solutions in collaboration with large corporations such as Walmart, Sony, and Viacom. He added that the project has been more fully launched in the past year and a half, and they have raised investments from Polychain Capital and Borderless.

Ram diagnosed the main problems facing the AI industry and emphasized the necessity of decentralized AI.

He said, "Currently, AI relies on generalized models," and "Services like ChatGPT are trained on internet data and provide only very generic responses."

He also pointed out that "Operating with a centralized structure and with AI's operation being as opaque as a black box creates limitations in terms of reliability and utilization."

He emphasized that "for AI to have true applicability, it must be trained on specialized data" and that a transparent and explainable structure is necessary.

He specifically explained OpenLedger's structure and technology stack. He said, "OpenLedger is a platform that provides a comprehensive solution from data collection, AI model development, service creation, to rewards," and "Users can collect datasets on desired topics and create specialized AI models."

He explained that AI model construction is possible in various specialized fields such as DeFi, healthcare, and language-specific AI, including Solidity-specific programming AI, AI reflecting Korean dialect and culture, and healthcare data-based AI.

Ram said, "Data contributors are designed to receive accurate compensation for the data used by AI," and "All data attribution and reward details can be verified on-chain."

By introducing the 'Proof of Attribution' technology, he emphasized that it can track which data AI used to generate specific responses, stating it is a "core protocol developed based on Stanford University research that contributes to AI model transparency and performance improvement."

He added, "We provide three main products: a dataset collection platform, a no-code AI model factory, and an open chat service, allowing anyone to collect specialized data, train AI, and subsequently share models with other users or monetize them."

Furthermore, he introduced that they are developing specialized AI models with Trust Wallet, Kaito, and Walmart, and teams from Solana's largest DeFi project 'Ambients' and the programming-specialized model 'Morpheus' are participating. He explained, "AI service revenue will be fairly distributed to data providers and model builders, and we will support micro-rewards and micropayments with AI USD stablecoin."

He added, "Currently, the platform has about 1.2 million registered users, with over 100,000 daily active users," and "The mainnet will be officially launched in a month, after which it will transition to a permissionless structure where anyone can freely participate."

The co-founder emphasized, "OpenLedger is expanding beyond a simple AI app chain to an open platform connecting various projects," and "We will collaborate with Asian developer communities to build more specialized AI models." He stressed, "AI should no longer be the exclusive domain of a few large corporations," and "OpenLedger will create a transparent and fair data-based AI ecosystem."
