BlackRock's Spot Bitcoin ETF Assets Exceed $70 Billion, Setting Fastest Growth Record】
According to The Block, BlackRock's Bitcoin spot ETF fund "IBIT" has made history again. Within just 341 trading days, the fund's Assets Under Management (AUM) has surpassed $70 billion, becoming the fastest ETF to reach this milestone.
Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas revealed that IBIT's speed is 5 times faster than the previous record holder, SPDR Gold Trust (GLD), which took 1,691 days to reach the same scale.
Currently, IBIT leads the Bitcoin fund category with over $70 billion in AUM, with Fidelity's Bitcoin ETF ranking second with approximately $31 billion in assets. IBIT has previously achieved 34 consecutive trading days of capital inflow.
The IBIT fund was launched in January 2024, and by April of the same year, IBIT had held 2.8% of the total BTC supply. BlackRock only holds these BTC on behalf of its clients.

As early as March, the company updated its "investment policy" to add BTC as a treasury reserve asset.
GameStop's latest financial report showed a year-on-year sales decline, with first-quarter revenue dropping 17% to $732.4 million, lower than the previous year's $881.8 million.
