Off-chain computation engine, Brevis, and the decentralized exchange (DEX) PancakeSwap have announced the launch of Intelligent UX on PancakeSwap Infinity (previously known as PancakeSwap v4), introducing programmable, user-aware, and trustless decentralized finance (DeFi) experiences. Leveraging Brevis’ advanced zero-knowledge (ZK) proof technology, this integration enables Brevis-supported hooks on PancakeSwap Infinity, transforming the way DEXs engage with users.
“This launch signals an inflection point for DeFi and the broader industry,” said Michael Dong, Co-founder and CEO of Brevis, in a written statement. “By bringing trustless, intelligent user experiences, we’re moving beyond static trading environments to dynamic, adaptive systems that can personalize incentives, fees, and rewards based on real behavior. It’s a step toward a smarter, more expressive DeFi ecosystem that remains fully decentralized and secure,” he added.
Previously, all users followed the same trading processes in decentralized finance (DeFi), regardless of factors like loyalty, trading volume, or liquidity contributions. PancakeSwap Infinity transforms the DeFi trading experience by introducing hooks, which are externally deployed contracts that extend the functionality of Automated Market Makers (AMMs), such as swapping and liquidity management. These hooks enable customizations like dynamic fees, custom oracles, and automated rebalancing logic, all without compromising the security of the protocol.
While executing complex logic trustlessly over large volumes of historical data has been a challenge, Brevis bridges this gap. Built on advanced ZK systems, Brevis supports complex off-chain computations with on-chain verifiability, offering reliable features at a lower cost than on-chain solutions while adhering to Layer 1 security standards. The Brevis Portal enables pool deployers to easily configure, deploy, and manage hook contracts. Through the portal, deployers can create hooks using various AMM pool types, deploy dynamic fee structures integrated into BeforeSwap hooks, and establish VIP discount tiers based on historical user data. By registering pools and configurations in the Brevis Portal, deployers can enhance flexibility and user experience in DeFi trading.
Brevis And PancakeSwap Introduce Data-Driven BeforeSwap Hooks
Brevis and PancakeSwap are introducing two types of data-driven BeforeSwap hooks. The Token Holder Discount Hook allows users to automatically receive fee discounts based on their time-averaged holdings of specific ERC-20 tokens. Discount tiers can be customized within the Brevis Portal, and eligibility is verified trustlessly via Brevis attestation. The Trading Volume Discount Hook offers fee reductions for traders based on their accumulated trading volume within specific pools over defined time periods, without the need for staking or manual verification. Brevis periodically attests to VIP statuses across pools, and PancakeSwap’s router intelligently fetches this data, calculates optimal swap paths, and applies discounts in real-time, providing a smooth, user-focused DeFi experience.
In traditional DEX platforms, uniform user experiences failed to account for diverse user behaviors. With Brevis-powered hooks, personalized and fair incentives are provided to loyal token holders and active traders, offering the trustless deployment of advanced incentive structures without introducing custodial risks. This approach enables modular, composable DeFi infrastructure with data-driven dynamic logic. By aligning incentives directly with verifiable on-chain behaviors, Brevis and PancakeSwap Infinity create a new user journey in DeFi—building richer, more interactive applications while maintaining decentralization.
Brevis is also developing additional trustless hook capabilities, including dynamic fees that adjust swap fees in real-time based on market volatility and liquidity metrics, intelligent LP rewards that allocate liquidity incentives based on contribution behaviors, and custom hook recipes combining modular logic blocks for governance-based rewards and gamified pools. Their aim is to establish a drag-and-drop ecosystem for developers to create intelligent, user-focused AMMs without compromising trust or composability.
Developers can now deploy custom hook-enabled pools on PancakeSwap Infinity through the Brevis Portal. Whether launching loyalty programs, gamified incentives, or dynamic fees, Brevis enables builders to implement sophisticated DeFi features with trustless off-chain computation and seamless on-chain verification. Configuration, deployment, and management are made simple, ushering in the future of DeFi user experience.
