China to suspend 24% tariff on US goods for 90 days, retaining remaining 10% tariff

Planet News: China will adjust the ad valorem tariffs imposed on U.S. goods. Among these, the 24% tariff will be suspended for the initial 90 days, while maintaining the remaining 10% tariff on these goods, and canceling the additional tariffs specified in Tax Committee Announcements No. 5 and No. 6 of 2025. Additionally, China will take necessary measures to suspend or cancel non-tariff countermeasures against the United States starting from April 2, 2025. Simultaneously, the United States has committed to adjusting its ad valorem tariff policy on Chinese goods before May 14, 2025. According to Administrative Order No. 14257 dated April 2, 2025, the United States will suspend the 24% tariff for 90 days, retain the remaining 10% tariff, and cancel the tariffs imposed on Chinese goods under Administrative Orders No. 14259 dated April 8, 2025, and No. 14266 dated April 9, 2025.
