Camp Network, a startup that successfully raised $30 million in Series A funding, has officially launched its first public testnet called K2, according to the announcement.
This Layer 1 blockchain is designed to manage intellectual property (IP), allowing developers to test and build applications on the network. Camp Network stated that dozens of dApps are ready to be deployed before the official mainnet launch at the end of this year.
"Partners in the Camp ecosystem are reaching over 5 million users and creative products," the development team shared.
Camp Network positions itself as the "world's largest user-owned intellectual property asset repository", participating in the wave of new blockchains aimed at changing how intellectual property ownership and creator rights are managed. Many expect blockchain will help make content origin transparent and reward distribution fairer.
In addition to blockchain, Camp Network is developing a marketplace for licensed AI training data, allowing users to use legal data to train models and ensure content owners are compensated.
"Camp is not just a blockchain – but a platform for a fairer internet, where every work is protected, recognized, and transparently monetized," the team emphasized. "Whether it's art, music, film, data, or video, Camp helps humans and AI collaborate on a verifiable platform."
Simultaneously, Camp is launching the "Summit Series" campaign, which includes on-chain tasks aimed at attracting users and potentially offering future rewards.
The Series A round was led by 1kx and Blockchain Capital in April.
