According to ChainCatcher, Federal Reserve Chairman Powell acknowledged that uncertainty is affecting economic decision-making, but he once again affirmed that the U.S. economy remains in good condition.
Powell stated during the press conference when answering questions: "Despite some very pessimistic sentiments surrounding the economy from individuals and businesses, the economy is still healthy."
