Chainlink has just announced the launch of its Community Incentive Program aimed at enhancing community participation and providing opportunities for eligible members in the ecosystem - including those staking LINK - to receive tokens from projects within the Chainlink Build program. This is a strategic move to promote the sustainable development of the Chainlink ecosystem by establishing closer connections with its user and developer community.
In the first phase called Season Genesis, Chainlink will collaborate with Space and Time - a member of the Chainlink Build program - to distribute a total of 100 million SXT tokens to eligible LINK stakers. The snapshot data to determine eligible recipients was set for March 31, 2025. Eligible users can begin claiming SXT tokens from May 8, 2025. The claiming period will last 90 days. SXT tokens not claimed during this time will be reused in subsequent stages of the community rewards program.
The total distribution of 100 million SXT tokens is part of the 200 million SXT that Space and Time has committed specifically to the Chainlink ecosystem through this collaboration program. This community incentive program not only provides reward opportunities for long-term Chainlink supporters but also helps expand the influence of Chainlink Build - an initiative supporting projects built on Chainlink infrastructure with backing from the world's leading decentralized oracle network.
The implementation of this program demonstrates Chainlink's efforts to enhance interaction between ecosystem components and provide additional value to LINK stakers through direct token rewards from potential partner projects.
Space and Time (SXT) is a decentralized database platform that combines zero-knowledge proof technology with a data warehouse model to provide verifiable decentralized data query and processing capabilities. It is a pioneering Web3 data infrastructure that enables smart contracts to access and process on-chain and off-chain data reliably, quickly, and without third-party intervention.
