The top cryptocurrency exchange in the US – Coinbase – recently announced that it will officially stop supporting the trading of Movement (MOVE) token starting from the early morning of 16/05/2025 Vietnam time. This decision was made after a periodic review to assess compliance with listing standards on the Coinbase platform, where MOVE no longer meets the necessary criteria to continue listing.
According to information shared by the community, the main reason for MOVE's delisting stems from controversies surrounding the Movement project.
Specifically, Coinbase recently published a report claiming that the project has an opaque connection with some market makers aimed at manipulating the MOVE token price in the market. Additionally, the project has been criticized for continuously delaying the MoveDrop event – an Airdrop program that was promised since December 2024 but has not yet been implemented, causing serious loss of trust in the user community.
