FIFA Crypto Game to Launch on Mobile in June

Mythical Games, a renowned web3 studio known for "NFL Rivals", announced that they will globally release a FIFA-inspired mobile game in June. In November last year, the company announced that "FIFA Rivals" would be available this year on both Apple and Android platforms. The game will launch alongside the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, with a preliminary release in May, according to information from Mythical Games. Over the past years, Mythical Games has attracted significant investment. In 2021, the company raised $150 million in a Series C round led by a16z, valuing the company at $1.25 billion. Previous investors included ARK Invest by Cathie Wood, Animoca Brands, PROOF, Stanford Athletics, and MoonPay. Despite web3 game studios struggling to attract mainstream players, Mythical Games has successfully partnered with major sports organizations like NFL and FIFA. The upcoming game will not be FIFA's first web3 venture, as the powerful football organization has already released digital collections allowing owners to "secure" tickets to the 2026 World Cup final. Mythical Games' "NFL Rivals", released in late 2023, attracted nearly 3 million players, according to CEO John Linden. The company also revealed they have partnered with the famous Non-Fungible Token franchise Pudgy Penguins and will launch a mobile game "Pudgy Party" in 2025. Mythical Games is collaborating with Colombian game developer Bacon Games to release "FIFA Rivals".
