During the working session on April 17 with Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang, Mr. Ben Zhou – Bybit CEO – expressed his desire to collaborate with Vietnam in building a legal framework and implementing a crypto asset trading platform model. Bybit expects to contribute to promoting transparency, safety for investors, and supporting sustainable development of the digital asset market in Vietnam – one of the countries with the fastest growth in the region.

Minister Nguyen Van Thang highly appreciated Bybit's goodwill and emphasized the urgent need to improve the legal framework for crypto assets. Currently, Vietnam is among the top three countries with the largest number of digital asset trading participants worldwide, but still lacks a comprehensive legal framework, which poses potential risks for investors.

In response to this reality, the Government has assigned the Ministry of Finance to lead research and propose the development of a pilot resolution for a crypto asset trading platform model, aiming to gradually improve the legal system, control risks, and effectively exploit digital economic potential. The Minister also acknowledged Bybit's proposal to support training, establish operational procedures, and manage risks.

Mr. Ben Zhou assessed Vietnam as the largest crypto asset market in Southeast Asia and a increasingly prominent player on the global blockchain map. He introduced Bybit – headquartered in Dubai – currently the second-largest digital asset trading platform after Binance, which has registered operations in major financial centers such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia.

Despite facing a large-scale attack, Bybit has ensured investor interests by maintaining a 1:1 asset guarantee commitment and operating transparently. Bybit has also built a system to prevent money laundering and engage in international cooperation to monitor illegal fund flows.

Mr. Ben Zhou affirmed that Vietnam possesses a dynamic blockchain community, high-quality programming teams, and investors who are keen on new technologies – an ideal foundation for developing a transparent and sustainable crypto asset market. Bybit commits to long-term partnership, supporting Vietnam in the process of piloting a crypto asset trading platform and developing a comprehensive legal framework for this field.
