Kaito has just released a whitepaper, announcing a new KAITO token along with an Airdrop. Kaito plans to use AI tools to reward users for novel and insightful social media posts.
In other words, Kaito has set a major challenge for itself. The community is eager to see if Kaito can overcome this challenge, but some users have already planned to exploit the system.
Kaito to Launch a Token
Kaito, an AI-focused Web3 information platform, has recently generated a lot of buzz. Its data and analysis have been useful in identifying crypto trends. For example, it has pointed out that RWA and DeFi projects are gaining momentum from meme coins. Today, Kaito has released the long-awaited whitepaper, revealing the KAITO token, which will soon be airdropped.
"Entering the new era of attention and InfoFi, KAITO will be your key to the center of information, attention, and Capital distribution. Attention is a core part of today's economy. Our view is that AI-powered InfoFi is the ultimate destination for information efficiency, and we couldn't be more excited for this next chapter," the company stated on social media.
Kaito's whitepaper explains all the token dynamics in its new system. Essentially, it sets an extremely ambitious goal: to use artificial intelligence to quantify the value of social media posts and tokenize them. Kaito's AI will evaluate user posts based on output, engagement, depth, and various other factors, and users will earn 'yaps'. These yaps will determine future Airdrops, but the full tokenomics have not yet been revealed.

Kaito's token Airdrop has generated a lot of positive attention, with some calling it "the most important social token distribution we've ever seen in crypto." The company's data has suggested that AI protocols are losing influence, but its own Airdrop could be an exception. The crypto community has long sought a way to revolutionize social media, and Kaito has entered the fray.
However, there are many challenges. Kaito is not the only tech company trying to improve content quality in the AI era; the world's largest tech companies also want to enhance the quality of posted content. Kaito wants to use token rewards to incentivize deep discussions and strong connections, but the whitepaper does not clearly explain how this will be achieved.
Meanwhile, social media is flooded with users offering their best advice on how to optimize the KAITO token rewards. Some of these posts seem to have good intentions, but other large accounts have expressed skepticism:
"When KAITO launches, know this: if you've never earned a yap, your account will feel useless. So tweet, X, Yap, replyguy, do anything to earn yaps. Create tweets that make them reply to you. Create content that makes smart followers comment on it. Go to the leaderboard, follow prominent yappers," one user told their followers.
In other words, the plan to reward good content may only incentivize more bad actors. Kaito's AI faces an extremely difficult challenge: how to objectively evaluate novelty and depth and reward tokens based on that assessment? The success of the protocol will depend on its ability to do this. Whatever happens, the entire community is watching.
