Berachain announces token economics: total 500 million tokens, 15.8% airdropped

Odaily reports that according to the BERA token economics published by Berachain, the total initial supply of the genesis token is 500 million. Specifically: 84,000,000 BERA (16.8%) are allocated to the initial core contributors; 171,500,000 BERA (34.3%) are allocated to investors; 244,500,000 BERA (48.9%) are allocated to the community, of which 15.8% are for airdrops and 13.1% are for future community plans; 100,000,000 BERA (20%) are used for ecosystem and R&D. At the token launch, 9.5% of the BERA supply will be unlocked for ecosystem growth, developer tools/infrastructure, and liquidity allocation. All parties follow the same vesting schedule: initial cliff of 1 year, with 1/6 of the allocated tokens unlocked; the remaining 5/6 of the tokens will be linearly vested over the following 24 months.
